Last night, after the end of “Prime”, G-Bani shared a candid moment from his life during a conversation with Valbona. He confessed that he spent a period in prison in Greece on charges that later turned out to be unjust.
What happened?
According to G-Bani, it all started during a protest against education reform when he was only 17 years old. He explained:
“They didn’t catch me at the location, but they stopped me during the protest. It was a situation where I was the wrong person in the wrong place. When they saw the Albanian passport, they charged me with seven charges.”
His parents took the case to the European Court
G-Bani said that his family did not give up and took the case to the European Court of Human Rights. The final decision was in his favor:
“My parents won the case against Greece at the European Court. It was a great victory for justice and for my family.”
